The client portal uses a necessary sign-in cookie. We have not installed advertising pixels or analytics cookies in the website code. Optional marketing is a separate choice.

Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small value stored by your browser and sent with relevant website requests. Local/session storage stores browser data without automatically sending it with every request. Similar technologies include tracking pixels. This policy covers Eastern Snow’s public website and client portal; independent social-media services and their in-app browsers are outside our control.

The portal’s necessary cookie

The cookie contains a random session token, not your password, address or invoice details. It is first-party, Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict: it is sent over HTTPS, cannot be read by ordinary page JavaScript and is restricted for cross-site requests. These protections reduce risk but are not a guarantee of security. Blocking this cookie prevents the portal from keeping you signed in.

Hosting and security technologies
Cloudflare provides hosting and security and may use necessary security cookies when a relevant protection or challenge is enabled. Examples can include cf_clearance for a completed security challenge and __cf_bm for bot management; these are conditional examples, not a statement that each is currently set on every visit. Their presence and lifetime depend on the enabled security feature. Cloudflare documents bot-management cookie expiration as 30 minutes of inactivity; challenge-cookie duration depends on configuration.

Advertising, analytics and browser storage
As of this policy’s effective date, Eastern Snow has not installed Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, advertising cookies, analytics cookies or session-replay scripts in this website’s code. The public quote form and client portal do not use localStorage or sessionStorage to save form details or create advertising profiles. Required login/security processing is separate from optional marketing consent.
Our pages currently fetch Google Fonts. This is an external request that can disclose technical information such as your IP address and request headers; it is not an Eastern Snow analytics tool. Facebook and Instagram links are external links rather than embedded tracking widgets. Clicking a link or using Facebook’s in-app browser may involve the platform’s own processing and cookies under its policies.
If we add optional analytics or advertising technologies, we must update this notice and implement the consent controls required for them before activation. Continuing to browse does not give blanket permission for future optional tracking. There is currently no optional tracker to enable or disable through an Eastern Snow preference switch.

Your browser controls
You can inspect, block or delete cookies through your browser’s privacy/site-data settings. Clearing the portal cookie signs you out; it does not delete your client record or service agreement. Blocking all cookies or certain security functions may prevent sign-in or access to protected pages. Use the privacy settings of Facebook or another in-app browser for the storage it controls.
For access, correction, deletion or consent withdrawal relating to your client records, contact Eastern Snow under the Privacy policy. Cookie deletion is not a record-deletion request. Because we do not install optional trackers, a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal does not need to switch off an Eastern Snow advertising cookie; mandatory privacy rights remain available regardless of browser signals.

Contact Eastern Snow at 709 986 5702. For personal-information requests, ask for the person responsible for privacy. For written service notices, use the supplier contact details on your quote or service agreement. Please do not send passwords, full card numbers, or unnecessary sensitive information.
We update this page when our cookie or storage practices change and show the effective date. Read it together with our Privacy policy and Terms & conditions.

Blog reactions and staff sign-in — added October 2, 2026
The blog uses es_blog_visitor, a random first-party browser identifier lasting up to one year, to remember article hearts and avoid duplicate reactions from the same browser. The server stores a hash of this identifier with liked articles. It is not an advertising identifier. Clearing it removes the browser’s remembered reaction state; a later reaction can count again.
The staff publishing workspace uses es_blog_session to authenticate company writers. It lasts up to seven days, is cleared on sign-out and uses Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict protections on HTTPS. It is separate from customer portal sign-in.
